Endoscopy

Endoscopy at Kāpiti Day Hospital

Endoscopy is a medical procedure that allows doctors to examine the inside of the body using a flexible tube called an endoscope. The endoscope has a light and camera at its tip, transmitting images to a monitor so the specialist can clearly view the digestive tract.

Endoscopy may be used to investigate symptoms, diagnose conditions, and sometimes treat problems such as polyps or ulcers.
